How to choose a photo and make a voice recording

John R

Choosing a cherished photo and recording your voice to describe the emotions of the photo with one of our memory boxes can be a wonderful way to preserve memories and connect with loved ones. Here are some tips to help you choose the perfect photo and create a meaningful recording:

  1. Choose a photo that holds special meaning: When selecting a photo, think about the emotions and memories that it evokes. It could be a photo of a special moment, a treasured place, or a loved one. The important thing is that the photo holds deep significance for you and those who will be receiving the recording.

  2. Connect with the emotions of the photo: Once you've chosen your photo, take a moment to connect with the emotions it brings up. This could be joy, love, nostalgia, or any number of feelings. Use these emotions as a guide when recording your message, and allow yourself to speak from the heart.

  3. Plan your message: Before you start recording, take a few moments to plan out what you want to say. You may want to describe the photo in detail, share memories associated with it, or simply express how much it means to you. Whatever you choose, make sure it comes from a place of sincerity and love.

  4. Record your voice: When you're ready, record your voice describing the emotions of the photo. You can use your smartphone if you have one. Speak slowly and clearly, allowing yourself to pause and take deep breaths as needed. Try to infuse your message with warmth and love, so that the recipient feels your presence and connection. Contact us if you need help.

  5. Share the recording: Once you've recorded your message, share it with the intended recipient. You could send it via email, text message, or even as a physical gift with our Memory Box. Seeing the photo and hearing your voice will be a cherished reminder of the love and memories you share.

In conclusion, choosing a cherished photo and recording your voice to describe the emotions of the photo can be a powerful way to connect with loved ones and preserve memories. By choosing a meaningful photo, connecting with the emotions it evokes, planning your message, and recording your voice with sincerity and love, you can create a beautiful and meaningful gift that will be treasured for years to come.

ABOUT US

Hi!  I'm John and I'm based here in Suffolk (UK).  I am passionate about helping people to record, preserve and celebrate their life stories.  Since 2015, I have helped people of all ages to record their personal stories. I believe that our voice is a unique and special part of who we are and therefore recording voices is an important part of preserving life memories.

My company, Chronicle, has been working in the UK since 2015, but our history goes back much further.  We have worked with countless people from all walks of life and of all ages to help preserve their stories and memories (our oldest participant was 101).  We also work with respected organisations such as the Suffolk Archives, local museums, and BT on story based community projects.

The idea for the Chronicle Memory Box arose as I continually explored new ways to allow people to preserve and enjoy their stories in a simple way.

We are based in the UK.
