CREATING A PHOTO AND AUDIO RECORDING
Here are a few tips to get you started:
Chronicle Talking Memory Box

1. Find a suitable photo

Choose a favourite photo for your box and send it to us.  As the Snapshot Memory Box is square, your photo must be suitable to be cropped into a square shape.  If you only have a printed copy of your photo, use your smartphone to take a photo of the photo and send it to us.  Alternatively, you can scan your photo for better resolution.  We will contact you if we feel the quality of your photo is too low.

If you need help choosing a photo, please contact us for our tips and suggestions.

2. Create your audio recording (voice or music)

The simplest way to record a voice greeting is using a smartphone.  Most phones have a voice recording app pre-installed by default (there are also plenty of free options on the app stores).

The box will hold up to 5 minutes of mp3 audio.  Make sure you create your recording in a quiet location.  We can edit your recording if needed*

If you want to add music to your box, tell us details of what you'd like or send us the music mp3 that you want.

Here are links that explain how to make voice recordings on an iPhone or Samsung smartphone but contact us if you need help.

ABOUT US

Hi!  I'm John and I'm based here in Suffolk (UK).  I am passionate about helping people to record, preserve and celebrate their life stories.  Since 2015, I have helped people of all ages to record their personal stories. I believe that our voice is a unique and special part of who we are and therefore recording voices is an important part of preserving life memories.

My company, Chronicle, has been working in the UK since 2015, but our history goes back much further.  We have worked with countless people from all walks of life and of all ages to help preserve their stories and memories (our oldest participant was 101).  We also work with respected organisations such as the Suffolk Archives, local museums, and BT on story based community projects.

The idea for the Chronicle Memory Box arose as I continually explored new ways to allow people to preserve and enjoy their stories in a simple way.

We are based in the UK.
